Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government has relaxed the licensing procedure in order to meet the demand of hand sanitizers to fight against the coronavirus threat. As a result, 66 companies are preparing sanitizers in UP. These include 23 sugar mills, 10 distilleries, 26 sanitisers companies and seven other companies.
At present these companies produce 1,45,860 litre sanitizers daily. The production will increase as per demand. After the outbreak of coronavirus, around 5,03,700 litres of sanitizer has been supplied in the market so far.
Government is making every effort to promote the sanitizer industry and its production. A total of 9,18,300 litres of sanitizer has been produced in the state so far.
