Mumbai: After crude future prices fell into the negative territory for the first time, Indian indices fell 3 per cent.
Sensex closed on April 21, 2020 at 1,011.29 points lower at 30,636.71. Nifty ended 280.40 points down at 8,981.45.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on April 20, 2020 at 59.28 points higher at 31,648.00. Nifty ended 4.90 points down at 9,261.85.
IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, Hindalco Industries and Zee Entertainment were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were Dr Reddy’s Labs, Bharti Infratel, Bharti Airtel, Hero MotoCorp and Cipla.
