Mumbai: Market ended on positive note after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a fiscal stimulus package of Rs 20 lakh crore on May 12. Sensex closed on May 13, 2020 at 637.49 points higher at 32,008.61. Nifty ended 187.00 points up at 9383.55.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on May 12, 2020 at 190.10 points lower at 31,371.12. Nifty ended 42.65 points down at 9,196.55.
Axis Bank, Adani Ports, UltraTech Cement, L&T and Zee Ent were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Nestle, Sun Pharma, Britannia Industries, HUL and Bharti Airtel.
