Mumbai: Equity benchmark indices ended higher on Friday. Sensex closed on June 26, 2020 at 329.17 points higher at 35,171.27. Nifty ended 94.10 points high at 10,383.00.
In the previous season, Equity benchmark indices edged marginally lower on Thursday due to weak global cues after the International Monetary Fund forecast the global output to shrink by 4.9 per cent this year.
BPCL, Infosys, TCS, IOC and IndusInd Bank were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Bharti Infratel, Bajaj Finance, ITC, Tata Motors and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
