Equity benchmark indices ended lower on the first day of a week. Sensex closed on June 29, 2020 at 209.75 points lower at 34,961.52. Nifty ended 70.60 points low at 10,312.40.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on June 26, 2020 at 329.17 points higher at 35,171.27. Nifty ended 94.10 points high at 10,383.00.
Coal India, Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, Hindalco Industries and SBI were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers included HDFC Bank, HUL, Britannia Industries, Cipla and M&M.
