Chandigarh: Haryana government has provided the loan amounting to Rs 153.45 crore to the cooperative sugar mills so that they can clear the cane arrears. The information was shared by Haryana Cooperative Minister Dr. Banwari Lal.
The state government has also assisted the cooperative sugar mills with a subsidy of Rs 66.28 crore for the cane crushing season 2019-20.
These measures have been taken to ensure that the millers clear the sugarcane arrears of the farmers who are under financial distress. The state government is doing its best to ensure the welfare of the cane growers.
