Mumbai, Sep 7 (PTI) Prices of both varieties of sugar fell at the Vashi wholesale trade today on reduced demand from stockists and bulk consumeRs. amid ample supply from producing region.
Small sugar (S-30) prices slid by Rs. 10/9 per quintal to Rs. 3080/3172 from ThuRs.day’s closing level of Rs. 3090/3181.
Medium sugar (M-30) also eased by Rs. 10 per quintal to Rs. 3182/3412 as compared to Rs. 3182/3422 yesterday.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs. 3080/3172 (Rs. 3090/3181).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs. 3182/3412 (Rs. 3182/3422)
