Roorkee, Uttarakhand: After sugarcane farmers threatened to agitate for their pending cane arrears, the sugar mills have geared up to clear pending cane arrears. Libberheri sugar mill said that it would clear cane arrears.
According to the news report published in Dainik Jagran, Anil Kumar Singh, general manager of Libberheri Sugar Mill, said that the mill had already paid till February 29. The amount of seven crores has been transferred to Samiti’s amount for payment till March 8. The remaining amount will also be cleared soon.
Sugarcane farmers are happy after payment decision taken by the sugar mill.
