Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh: The district administration has asked the sugar mills from Lakhimpur Kheri district to clear the cane arrears of the sugarcane farmers that are severely hit by floods. The government on Tuesday assisted the farmers with a ration kit worth Rs 1,525 each family. The administration is also providing the medical health check-up to the people affected due to floods.
The villagers have been advised to maintain social distance at the relief camps.
According to the media report published in The Times Of India, Dhaurahra SDM Sunandu Sudhakaran said, “We have instructed Aira sugar mill to clear pending dues of all flood-affected farmers immediately. We have also distributed ration kits to 215 families in the relief camp in Dhaurahra tehsil. More affected families were provided ration kits at other relief camps across the district.”
