Mumbai: Equity benchmark indices ended lower on Thursday. Sensex closed on August 20, 2020 at 394.40 points low at 38,220.39. Nifty ended 96.20 points lower at 11,312.20.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on August 19, 2020 at 86.47 points higher at 38,614.79. Nifty ended 23.05 points high at 11,408.40.
NTPC, ONGC, Power Grid, Coal India and BPCL were the Nifty50 top gainers while Tata Motors, HDFC, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and Wipro were the top laggards.
