Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has launched a scathing attack on UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath over pending cane dues.
Addressing a farmers’ mahapanchayat in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district on Sunday, he said that UP CM Yogi Adityanath was “powerless” in front of the sugar millers.
The sugar mills owe cane dues worth Rs 18,000 crore to the sugarcane farmers in the state, especially from Western UP, he said.
Citing his government’s achievements against the three powerful Power companies and how he ensured the uninterrupted power supply to the state he said, “Why Yogiji is powerless in front of these small sugar mill owners. The government should act against these millers and force them to clear the pending cane dues of the farmers.”
