Additional payment: Raju Shetti to raise sugarcane farmers issue

Raju Shetty, the leader of the Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana and former MP, is raising the issues of sugarcane farmers. Shetty asked sugar mills to pay an additional payment to sugarcane farmers.

While Speaking with ‘ChiniMandi’, Shetty emphasized the upcoming centenary golden jubilee celebrations of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, known for his work towards public welfare. In this context, a yatra has been organized to ensure justice for thousands of sugarcane farmers. Shetty also stated that this journey will work to awaken the sleeping rulers. The journey is set to commence at 8 AM on June 26, 2024, starting from Gaibi Chowk, Kagal, and concluding at ‘Shahu Maharaj Samadhisthan’ in Kolhapur.

Preparations for the ‘Kaifiyat Yatra’ by the Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana are currently underway. An awareness campaign is being conducted in every village of the district, with the possibility of thousands of activists joining from Kolhapur and surrounding areas for this journey.
