Trichy: The opposition party in Tamil Nadu has slammed the ruling DMK government for not keeping its poll promise of increasing minimum support price (MSP) for sugarcane crop.
According to the news report published in The Times of India, the AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam and deputy coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami have criticized chief minister M K Stalin’s campaign of voice towards the dawn (‘Vidiyalai Nokki Stalinin Kural’) he had launched before assembly elections. They alleged that the DMK government has led the farmers ‘towards frustration’ (Virakthiyai Nokki) by remaining tight-lipped over the poll promises.
The DMK had promised of increasing MSP of Sugarcane to Rs 4,000 per tonne, the AIADMK leaders said.
