Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd (ABD) has received approval from the Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise, Hyderabad, to increase its grain-based spirit production capacity by 15 lakh bulk litres for FY2024-25.
In an exchange filing, company said, “This is to inform you that the Company’s request for increase in additional production capacity of 15 lakh bulk litres of Grain based spirit (RS/ENA/Ethanol) over and above the licensed production capacity i.e. 600 lakh bulk litres for the financial year 2024-25 has been considered by the Commissioner, Prohibition & Excise, Hyderabad under Rule 10(4) of Telangana Distillery (Manufacture of Spirits) Rules, 2006, subject to payment of applicable license fees.”
This expansion increases the company’s total licensed capacity to 615 lakh bulk litres at its Rangapur facility in Pebbiar, Wanaparthy District, Telangana. Company informed that effective immediately and valid until March 31, 2025, the increase does not require additional investment, as the requisite infrastructure is in place.
