AM Green to develop sustainable aviation fuel project in Uttar Pradesh with an investment of Rs 3,000 crores

AM Green has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Uttar Pradesh for a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project in the state.

The agreement was signed by Anil Chalamalasetty, Founder and Group Chairman of AM Green, and Manoj Kumar Singh, IAS, Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2025 held in Davos.

As part of the MoU, AM Green will develop a Sustainable Aviation Fuel Project in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh with an investment of Rs 3,000 crores.

AM Green is indirectly wholly owned and controlled by the founders of Hyderabad-based Greenko Group – Anil Chalamalasetty and Mahesh Kolli.

The project will play a key role in advancing sustainable development, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting energy efficiency within the aviation sector.

This partnership is expected to boost India’s commitment to global decarbonization goals, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a key player in the country’s green energy transition. The MoU signals an important step toward realizing India’s long-term sustainability objectives while enhancing the nation’s role in global climate action.
