Amroha, Uttar Pradesh: A virtual review meeting chaired under sugarcane department outlined the timelines for the 2024-25 sugarcane crushing season.
According to DCO Manoj Kumar, the Dhanaura sugar mill will commence operations on October 27, followed by the Chandanpur sugar mill on November 4, and the Gajraula-Hassanpur sugar mill on November 6. District Magistrate Nidhi Gupta has also emphasised the need for timely operations.
As per the operational plans submitted by the mills, repairs have been completed with 97% at Dhanaura, 90% at Chandanpur, and 87% at Gajraula-Hassanpur.
Additionally, mills are conducting field survey recovery work. Four days prior to the start of operations, cane committees will issue indent to provide farmers with sugarcane slips. These slips will be delivered via an ERP system, similar to the previous year.
