Amtaar Chemicals is working on setting up a 50 klpd grain-based distillery unit to produce ethanol at Penpahad village in Suryapet, Nalgonda district of Telangana, reports Projects Today.
Under the ethanol blending programme (EBP), the proposed unit will come up on 10.05 acres of land, which will also involve setting up a captive power plant of 1.25 MW.
The company is awaiting financial closure for its project and is expected to start work on it by November 2023. The company is yet to finalize the contractor and machinery supplier and is awaiting terms of reference (ToR) for the project.
