Vizianagaram: According to the media report, the state government has sanctioned around Rs 8.4 crores for Bheemasigi sugar mill to clear cane dues. It is the only cooperative sugar mill operating in the district.
As per the news report published in The Hans India, the government has committed to modernize the sugar mill and increase productivity. During election campaigning, chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had promised the people from the district to provide help for the sugar mill. It is running with outdated machines and technology. The mill’s financial position is also not strong.
The mill is supporting the farmers of Jami, L Kota, S Kota, Vizianagaram and Padmanabham mandal of Visakhapatnam district.
