Rajamahendravaram (East Godavari District): Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will lay the foundation stone of Ethanol project, to be set up by Assago Industries Private Limited, on November 4 at Gummalladoddi village of Gokavaram Mandal in East Godavari district, reports The Hans India. The state is eyeing to boost ethanol production.
The company will invest Rs 260 crore for the setting up of an ethanol plant and will contribute to Gokavarm Mandal’s economic development. This will generate employment for 300 local people.
The central government is taking various steps to promote ethanol production in India. Yesterday, the government approved a hike in rates of ethanol derived from different sugarcane-based raw materials under the Ethanol Blending Programme (EBP) for the Ethanol Supply Year 2022-23.
