The Andhra Sugars Limited has informed exchange that New Sulphuric Acid Plant of 500 TPD at Saggonda location has been successfully commissioned and commenced its commercial operations today i.e. April 26, 2024.
Andhra Sugars Limited was established on the 11th of August, 1947. Company has used locally available renewable resources to produce value-added products, generating employment for the rural population and helping in boosting the rural economy.
Company’s sugar operations commenced in 1952 at Tanuku with a modest Sugar factory of 600TCD crushing and it has expanded its operations at 3 locations(Tanuku, Taduvai, Bhimadole) with a total crushing capacity of 16,000 TCD. It has successfully adopted diffusion technology in sugar production.
