Kolhapur: The Angre port has set a target to export around 10 lakh tonnes of sugar in the upcoming season, said Captain Sandip Gupta, executive director of the port, reports Agrowon.
He was speaking at a programme organised for sugar millers and transporters from Kolhapur.
Addressing the gathering, Gupta said, “We have succeeded in exporting 8 lakh tonnes sugar from the port during last season and now we are expecting to export more sugar this season. We will be able to achieve this with the cooperation of all the stakeholders.”
