This week, the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) welcomed Ankit Chandra as the new senior manager of global ethanol market development. In this capacity, Chandra will help design and execute promotional initiatives and market analyses to boost U.S. ethanol exports for transportation and off-road uses, including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), maritime, and other bio-based sectors.
Chandra brings extensive experience in agricultural trade to the Council, having served as an Agricultural Specialist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agriculture Service and other prominent agricultural organizations. He recently completed a master’s degree in public administration with a focus on agriculture, energy, and the environment from Columbia University.
“I’m so excited to bring Ankit on board and I’m certain his experience across various roles in the industry and working in a number of different markets will be a significant asset for the ethanol department moving forwar,” said Mackenzie Boubin, USGC director of global ethanol market development.
