Muzaffarnagar: Sugarcane survey in the district has been completed and it is expected that the area under cane cultivation would increase by 3% for the next season, reports Amar Ujala.
Total of 273 officials of sugar mills and 90 officials of the sugarcane department were on duty for two months from April 15 to June 15 to complete the sugarcane survey. The report of the survey will be released after three days but the initial report suggests that the area has been increased by 3%.
District cane officer Omprakash Singh said, the survey has been completed in all the sugar mills in the district and the officials were working for two months to complete the survey.
