Argentina increases bioethanol prices

Buenos Aires: The Argentine government raised the price of bioethanol made from sugarcane and corn that is used for blending with gasoline used in the local market, as per the resolutions published in the Official Gazette on Monday.

The price of bioethanol was increased to 148.479 pesos per litre (about $0.68) from 141.409 pesos per litre, reported the Energy Secretary of the Ministry of Economy.

The new prices will come into effect once they are published in the Official Gazette.

The resolution said that the payment term for bioethanol made from sugarcane may not exceed in any case, 30 calendar days from the date of the corresponding invoice.
