Avisa Foods & Fuels is mulling setting up a grain-based ethanol plant having a capacity of 500 klpd at Mallavalli Food Park in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, reports Projects Today.
The project was approved by the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) in February 2023 and the company received environmental clearance (EC) for the project on April 19, 2023.
The company will be setting up a 12.5 MW co-generation power plant along with the project which will spread over 47.05 acres of land.
The work on the project is likely to commence by July 2023.
