The Azerbaijani government has raised subsidies for sugar beet production, reported Trend via Ministry of Agriculture.
The Council on Agricultural Subsidies decided to increase the financial support provided to farmers.
Under the decision, farmers working on the land with modern irrigation systems will now receive 22 manats ($12.9) per unit of sown area, compared to the previous 19 manat ($11.1). For areas without modern irrigation systems, the subsidy has been increased from 18 manat ($10.5) to 19 manat ($11.1) per unit of sown area.
