Darshana sugar mills will commence their seasonal production on November 25, according to a meeting held on Friday and announced by Managing Director K.M. Arshad Uddin,reported Daily-sun.
The meeting included senior mill officials, leaders from the sugarcane welfare society and worker unions, zonal chiefs, and prominent sugarcane growers from the mill’s operational area.
Management has set a production target of 7,000 tonnes of sugar by crushing 100,000 tonnes of sugarcane during the upcoming season. The anticipated sugar recovery rate has been set at 7%.
Over 7,620 acres within the mill zone are currently under sugarcane cultivation, with the crop destined for processing during this season. Mill management also confirmed that the factory will operate for 100 days throughout the production period.
