Patna: Paving a way towards production of compressed Biogas (CBG) apart from ethanol production the state government has passed the Bihar Biofuels Production Promotion Policy, reports The Times of India.
Now the individuals, as well as firms setting up the CBG units in Bihar can avail benefits of the policy till June 30, 2024, after govt issues a notification in this regard.
State Industries minister Sameer Mahaseth said, “The new policy will promote setting up of CBG units along with CNG production. This will help in reducing environmental pollution, employment generation, and lower importation of natural gas.”
