Bihar CM Nitish Kumar inaugurates ethanol plant

Nalanda (Bihar): Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Chandrika Power ethanol plant in the Fatehali village, Biharsharif, on Friday.

The unit, built with a cost of 100 crore rupees, is capable of producing 60,000 litres of ethanol daily. It is expected to benefit farmers and provide employment to people from several surrounding villages.

CM Nitish Kumar stated that the Bihar government is committed to becoming self-reliant in the energy sector. Several solar and wind energy projects are underway in the state, contributing immensely to electricity generation. The ethanol production plant will also make a significant contribution to Bihar’s energy sector.
