Sitamarhi: Sugarcane farmers under the banner of Sanyukta Kisan Sangharsh Morcha leader Dr Anand Kishor and others urged chief minister Nitish Kumar to revive the Riga sugar mill, reports Dainik Bhaskar.
They have sent an email to the chief minister urging him to save the sugar mill by getting funds from private industrialists.
The chief minister can get funding from industrialists to revive the sugar mill as the officials of the sugarcane department can’t run the sugar mill.
If the mill starts operations, then the distillery unit of the mill also can become operational along with the fertilizers unit. This will be beneficial to the farmers as well as the state, said farmers.
