Patna: Bihar government is all set to give a boost to ethanol production, therefore the state is giving financial incentive for establishing an ethanol plant.
According to the news report published in The Times of India, The state cabinet on Wednesday gave clearance to the payment of financial incentives to three companies on their combined private capital investment worth Rs 216.90 crore in three separate units for ethanol production, food processing, and a rice mill.
The Messers Magadh Sugar and Energy Limited (unit of Bharat Sugar Mills) will get an incentive on investment of Rs 133.25 crore for setting up an ethanol production plant at Bucheya in the Sidhwalia block of Gopalganj district with a capacity of 75 kilolitres per day. The plant can produce ethanol with a capacity of 100 kilolitres per day.
Recently, the Bihar cabinet had approved the ethanol production promotion policy. This will help to boost the farmers’ income and generate employment along with luring industries to invest in Bihar.
