Sitamarhi, Bihar: Riga sugar mill has assured to clear the pending cane arrears soon. The management also said that mill will start crushing operations on time and will also procure all cane produced in the region.
According to the news report published in Bhaskar.com, on Wednesday, the farmers’ association fighting for the pending cane arrears and the mill administration convened a meeting in which management assured to clear cane arrears on time. The meeting was convened through a video conference.
According to OP Dhanuka, CMD, Riga sugar mill, “We are making full efforts to make fast payment.” Two days ago, MP Sunil Kumar Pintu had raised the pending cane arrears issue in the monsoon session of Parliament and asked the government to take steps to clear cane arrears issue.
