Hasanpur, Bihar: RK Tiwari, executive chairman of the sugar mill, urged farmers to expand the area under spring sugarcane cultivation. He provided essential advice on seed selection and fertiliser use for sugarcane planting. He was speaking at a farmers’ meeting organised by the sugar mill in Godah block, reported Prabhat Khabar.
Tiwari highlighted the profitability of sugarcane compared to other crops and encouraged farmers to cultivate it in their fields. He explained the benefits of sugarcane farming and shared insights on ratoon management and top borer management.
During the event, Tiwari also inspected the ongoing sugarcane planting activities in farmers’ fields and discussed the precautions to be taken during the planting process.
The meeting was attended by Sugarcane Vice Chairman Surendra Pal Singh, Senior Cane Manager Puneet Chauhan, Sugarcane Development Officer Shobhit Shukla, Field Supervisors Krishna Thakur, Subhash Yadav, Rakesh Yadav, Rajeshwar Yadav, Vijay Yadav, Lalit Yadav, Mahesh Sahni, Yogendra, and others.
