Banka: Bihar government is planning to revive the defunct sugar mill in Amarpur, said JDU leader Pushpam Singh Pappu. According to the news report published in Dainik Jagran, the aim of reviving the mill is to ensure that the government regenerates employment for the migrants that have returned to Bihar during the lockdown and will help farmers from the region to cultivate sugarcane.
Speaking to reporters, he said, “The government is committed for the welfare of the sugarcane cultivators and the laborers that have returned home during lockdown. We are doing our best to find a way-out to ensure that these people stay in Bihar and are planning to revive the defunct sugar mills from the state that will also benefit sugarcane cultivators from the state.”
