Uttar Pradesh: Bijnor sugar mill has completed the cane crushing operations. It has crushed 39,06,500 quintal sugarcane and produced 4,70,000 quintal sugar with a recovery rate of 11.46 per cent.
A K Singh, administrative officer, Bijnor sugar mill said that the mill closed crushing operations on Wednesday. We have ended the season only after crushing the cane of all the farmers.
He said, “It was difficult to operate a mill during the Covid crisis but we have managed to complete the season with the help of all available staff and sugarcane farmers.”
“We will soon take steps to clear all the pending cane dues of the sugarcane farmers,” he further added.
