Hyderabad: The Union government is encouraging to set up of ethanol plants as it would help farmers, said Union Heavy Industries Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey, reports The New Indian Express.
He was speaking at Nizamabad where he was participating in the programmes organized for celebrations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing eight years in office.
Addressing the gathering, he said that the BJP will give priority to setting up ethanol manufacturing plants in the Nizamabad district after the party captures power in the state in the next elections.
He said, “The oil companies would directly purchase ethanol from ethanol manufacturers,”.
Encouraging ethanol production would help sugarcane farmers increase their income as well as address the energy crisis issue, minister further added.
