Amroha: The Bhartiya Kisan Union Asli (BKU Asli) discussed the issues farmers are facing in its monthly meeting. Mandal President Dungar Singh stated that farmers are dissatisfied with the report of the Sugarcane Research Council on the previous sugarcane variety 05009. Despite repeated requests to officials, a re-examination has not yet been conducted.
A warning was issued that if the demands of the farmers are not met, the organization will protest. The monthly meeting of the BKU was held in the local block area on Wednesday. Mandal President Dungar Singh said that after lending fertilizers and pesticides from sugar mill, farmers are being charged interest for delayed payments, while the payment for farmers’ sugarcane is not being made on time. BKU Asli asked to clear the cane dues at earliest.
