BKU Charuni holds meeting to address sugarcane payment delays

Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh: A meeting of the Bhartiya Kisan Union Charuni was held at the Bilai mill district office regarding the delay in payment for sugarcane by sugar mill, reported Live Hindustan.

Addressing the meeting, the organization’s youth state president, Vikas Chaudhary, stated that the government and administration are responsible for the delay in sugarcane payments by sugar mill. Farmers’ organizations had demanded a change in the procurement centre due to the delayed payments, but the government and administration remained silent on the issue.

During the meeting, it was decided to soon submit a memorandum to the District Magistrate of Bijnor and initiate a major protest at the district headquarters against the government and administration. Present at the meeting were several workers, including Parvendra Kumar, Munendra Singh, Pushpendra Singh, Charan Singh, Devendra Singh, Peetam Singh, Nitin Kumar, Bharat Singh, and Gaje Singh.
