BKU demands to clear pending sugarcane payment

Chhajlaet, Uttar Pradesh: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leaders have warned of a protest on the occasion of Baba Tikait’s death anniversary, demanding immediate payment of sugarcane dues to farmers, reported Live Hindustan.

BKU state vice president Chaudhary Rishi Pal Singh said that on Wednesday, all BKU workers and farmers will pay floral tributes to the statue of Baba Mahendra Singh Tikait. This will be followed by a protest against the rampant theft of water from tube wells and the demand for sugarcane payments.
