BKU Tikait raise the issue of pending cane dues

Saharanpur: Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) Tikait’s regional leaders and workers submitted a six-point memorandum to the SDM on Friday demanding the payment of pending sugarcane dues from Ganganouli sugar mill, reported Live Hindustan.

The farmers under the leadership of BKU district president Chaudhary Rajpal Singh submitted the memorandum to SDM Ankur Verma demanding payment of pending cane dues in time.

They demanded a road for farmers to reach their fields from the land acquired by the railway from village Bseda to village Meerpur. They also demanded that the bridge and underpass being built at Meerpur railway crossing be operational before the start of the sugarcane season.

The memorandum also demanded that the arbitrary assessments by the power corporation be reduced and the surface of the road crossing and underpass being built in NH from village Halgova to the Uttarakhand border be raised to the level of the road.
Regional secretary Chaudhary Virender Singh and state vice-president Vinay Kumar were also present during the protest.
