BPCL achieves highest ever average ethanol blending percentage of 14.14 per cent during Q1 FY 24-25

Bengaluru: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in its first quarter of 2024-25 has reported market sales of 13.16 million metric tonnes. This is 3.22 per cent higher than the 12.75 MMT for the first quarter reported in the financial year 2023-24.

The company posted growth in market sales but a sharp fall in net profit over the same quarter last year.

The company posted operational revenue at Rs 1,28,103.36 crores for the quarter, which was a tad lower than the Rs 1,28,256.65 crores in the same period last year.

The net profit for the April-June 2024 quarter was down to Rs 3,014.77 crores from Rs 10,550.88 crores in the same period a year ago, even as sales rose.

BPCL’s CEO remarked, “Our sales growth indicates strong market demand, though our profitability has been impacted by various external factors.” The company remains focused on enhancing efficiency and performance in the upcoming quarters despite the challenges reflected in the profit decline.
