Britain became the first country in the world to approve the vaccine produced by Pfizer-BioNTech. The UK will start a vaccination drive from next week.
The vaccine is the only ray of hope to help the world recover from the global pandemic which has killed nearly 1.5 million people globally. Britain’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) granted emergency use approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which they say is 95 per cent effective in preventing illness.
The vaccine committee of Britain will decide the priority for the groups for vaccination considering the importance and necessity.
