Lucknow: Commissioner, cane and sugar, Shri Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy said that in the current crushing season 2020-21,the cane parchies will be sent to the farmers only as SMS parchi on their registered mobile numbers. Daily acknowledgement sheet of parchies, to be weighed ,will also be pasted at the cane purchasing centres ,through which the farmers can also know about their parchies. It is therefore necessary, that the correct mobile number of sugarcane farmers is registered on ERP. He has appealed to the sugarcane farmers that they should check their mobile number on ERP and and if it is wrong then they can themselves update their correct mobile number through E-ganna App aur can get it corrected through Cane Development Society.
Giving detailed information in this regard, he said that in the event of S.M.S. inbox being filled, mobile switch off and D.N.D. activating, the message of SMS parchi is automatically cancelled after 24 hours, due to which farmers will not be able to get their SMS parchi. So all the farmers are advised to keep their mobile inbox empty and properly charge and keep their mobile phone on for all the time, so that the S.M.S. parchi sent by the server is received in real time on their mobile phone. The present system of parchi issuance is completely transparent. Sending the S.M.S. parchi to the mobile number of the farmers will ensure the timely receipt of same. This will enable farmers to harvest the cane at proper time and supply fresh cane to the mill, which will avoid weight loss due to driage after harvesting. This will also prevent spread of covid-19.
Shri Bhoosreddy said that all the Regional officers and District Cane Officers have also been directed to ensure its wide publicity and to launch a campaign for updating the correct mobile number of all the sugar cane farmers, so that there is no inconvenience to the sugarcane farmers in supply of their sugarcane.
