Raipur: Chhattisgarh Cooperative Minster Dr Premsai Singh Tekam inaugurated a 2 MW power generation power plant at Maa Mahamaya Sugar Factory at Kerta, reports Daily Pioneer.
The power plant will generate Rs 1 crore additional income each month for the factory, he said while inaugurating the plant.
The official communication quoted him saying that the generation of 2 MW is an achievement of the sugar mill and it will benefit the mill as well as farmers.
This is the third power plant for the area. Steps have been taken to set up an ethanol plant in the sugar mill premises, he informed.
