China: The customs data from China indicates the sugar imports have increased up 94 per cent year on year in October.
The data has been released by the General Administration of Customs. However, the data does not provide the breakdown of origins of various major agriculture products listed.
China imported 880,000 tonnes of sugar in October 2020 which is 94.3 per cent more than the last year. Till date, China has imported 3.65 million tonnes of sugar which is 28.4 per cent high as compared with last year.
