Coca-Cola ends its long association with the International Life Sciences Institute

Coca-Cola has ended its collaboration with the International Life Science Institute, a pro-sugar research-oriented company and powerful food organisation.

According to the bloomberg.com, Coca-cola has issued a statement stating that it has ended its membership with the organisation at regional, country and global level from this month. The decision was made after a routine review, the company said without offering additional details.

Coke was the major financial supporter of the group created in 1978 by a former Coke executive. The organisation still has support from companies like PepsiCo Inc. and Kellogg Co.
