Pilibhit: Sungarhi police have booked a contractual worker of LH Sugar Mill from Pilibhit city for allegedly misappropriating mill’s money to the tune of Rs 84,4640.
Govind Sharma, assistant cane manager of the mill, lodged complaint in this regard. As per the complainant, suspect identified as Prabhakar Mishra, resident of Kaimhara village of Lakhimpur Kheri district was engaged on the contract basis of selling agricultural inputs to farmers at subsidized rates. The mill management had supplied him agricultural inputs worth Rs 21 lakh.
After sale, Mishra allegedly deposited Rs 43,100 with the mill. Some farmers opted to get the input with price deducting from their cane price and Rs 9,96,380 was registered with the mill as a deduction from farmers. The remaining Rs 8,44,640 owed to the mill was taken by Mishra who is absconding. He has been booked under section 406 (criminal breach of trust) of IPC.
