The Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have crushed 441.86 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced over 44.04 lakh quintals of sugar so far during the ongoing crushing season.
Stating this here on Thursday, a spokesman of Sugarfed said that cooperative sugar mill of Shahabad has so far crushed a maximum of 80.63 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced over 8.54 lakh quintals of sugar, followed by cooperative sugar mill Rohtak which has crushed 63.22 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 6.14 lakh quintals of sugar.
He said cooperative sugar mill Kaithal has crushed 46.10 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced over 4.60 lakh quintals of sugar, cooperative sugar mill Meham crushed 43.71 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 4.27 lakh quintals of sugar, while cooperative sugar mill Karnal crushed 39.94 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 4.08 lakh quintals of sugar.
Similarly, Gohana sugar mill has crushed 43.77 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 4.24 lakh quintals of sugar, Jind sugar mill has crushed 31.49 lakh quintals and produced over 3.04 lakh quintal of sugar, Panipat sugar mill crushed 30.71 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 3.05 lakh quintals of sugar, Sonipat sugar mill has crushed 31.35 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 3.10 lakh quintals of sugar and Palwal sugar mill crushed 30.94 lakh quintals of sugarcane and thus produced over 2.94 lakh quintals of sugar.
Apart from this, Assandh sugar mill has crushed 40.01 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 4.02 lakh quintals of sugar. So far, the average recovery of sugar from cooperative sugar mills has been 10.20 per cent.
