New Delhi: The coronavirus in India is spreading more and more. COVID-19 which originated in China’s Wuhan city in December last year, has so far spread to more than 100 countries.

A total of 114 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across India, Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Sunday.

Considering the effect of coronavirus across the world, The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared coronavirus a pandemic and Europe as its epicentre with more reported cases and deaths than the rest of the world combined, apart from China.

MEA shares helplines as COVID-19 cases in India surge to 114

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) shared different helplines on social media to tackle the coronavirus outbreak in the country as the total number of positive cases in India reached 117 on Monday.

In the last 24 hours, four new cases have been reported in the country.
As many as 13 people have been cured so far.
The deadly bug which started spreading from the central Chinese city of Wuhan last year has killed more than 6000 people across the globe and infected more than a lakh others.

The number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 114 on Monday, Ministry of Health and Family Affairs said. In the last 24 hours, four cases have increased in the country. As many as 13 people have been cured so far. Today, Odisha has also reported the first case from the deadly infection, which caused around 6000 death globally.

The meeting was attended by Health Minister Rajesh Tope and the Chief Secretary of the state. All district magistrates joined the meeting via video-conferencing. Earlier in the day, Tope chaired a meeting of Health Department officials and reviewed the coronavirus spread situation.

11: 20 AM: Odisha reports first coronavirus case
Odisha on Monday reported its first case of coronavirus. A 33-year-old man tested positive for the infection in Bhubaneswar, said Subroto Bagchi, Chief Spokesperson on Covid-19 for Odisha Government. The man returned from Italy to Delhi on March 6 and then reached Bhubaneswar by train.
