Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: Daurala sugar mill has become the first sugar mill in the state to clear all the pending cane dues for the current crushing season.
Sanjiv Kumar Khatiyan, chief manager of the mill, said, “Sugarcane crushing at the mill began from November 2 and the mill started purchasing cane at collection centre from November 1. We have disbursed the payment for cane purchased from November 1 to 4 amounting to Rs 6.35 crore to the cane farmers.”
“We had also cleared pending cane dues firstly in the previous crushing season”, he further added.
